gentle thrills is a small ecommerce business that sell accessories, stationery, apparel, & more! gentle thrills products are stocked in over 100 stores worldwide.

i am looking to hire someone to pack and ship all of our direct-to-consumer and faire wholesale orders out of our studio in eagle rock, california.

• as the fulfillment specialist, you would be expected to pack and ship all of the orders we receive each week in order to keep things flowing smoothly for our customers.

• the ideal candidate would be able to come in 3 days a week around 7 or 8 in the morning (preferably tuesday, wednesday, and thursday) and work for 1-5 hours each day.

• how many hours you work each day will depend on the number of orders that need to be packed + inventory management that needs to get done.

• our order volume fluctuates based on product launches and the time of year

• we would be in communication regularly and i will do my best to make sure you are supported especially during peak season and big launches!

• replying to customer emails to coordinate returns, address order issues, and/or answer questions
• scheduling package pickups
• inventory management, which includes (but is not limited to):

• • unboxing, shelving, labeling, quality-checking, and counting production shipments
  • maintaining accurate inventory counts
  • regularly organizing inventory bins & shelves to maximize space
  • packaging and preparation of product (i.e. putting things in bags, taking things out of bags, putting stickers on things, etc.
  • breaking down boxes & taking out the trash
  • sweeping and vacuuming the shipping area
  • dogsitting sometimes while you work

• previous experience fulfilling ecommerce orders
• moving efficiently
• strong time-management & organizational skills
• being careful, considerate, and accurate when pulling & packing orders
• great communication! keep me updated, ask questions as needed, send end-of-day summaries, think ahead about supplies we’re running low on, etc.
• flexibility with your schedule (i.e. be okay that some weeks are slow, some are busy, some might have weird unexpected events that get in the way of your usual flow. i try to be good about communicating in advance so there aren’t any surprises but stuff happens!)
• savvy with apple software, apps, & printers
• ability to troubleshoot technology & problem-solve independently
• adaptability to organizational systems that are new to you

• experience with shopify
• experience with faire
• experience with shipstation
• a car to occasionally drop off orders at USPS, UPS, or local retailers
